Why nobody talks about how loud was Nadal on this match? Nadal, Ferrer, Verdasco, López are very loudy. I guess the spanish guys on the ATP are just like the russian girls on the WTA xD
Watching this video of Nadal running like a cheetah al over the court to return Soderling’s missiles, can anyone seriously think he entered the court with “his knees destroyed” as he now claims? C’mon!! They had played a similar match 2 weeks before in Rome with Nadal winning 6-1, 6-0 tiring Soderling until he missed… except this time everything the Swede hit went to the lines. Will Nadal ever admit that he lost fair and square? or will he continue making up lame excuses every time he loses?
It’s not excuses, you can see he wasn’t feeling great… but haters deny that. Regardless, I know a fact that a majority of that was due to Soderling’s accuracy and power. So…you seemed to have misunderstood my previous comment there. Apologies.
do you know how he was feeling that day? Did you ask him yourself? Come on, don’t make excuses for Nadal. Face it, he got his ass handed to him. Give Soderling the credit he deserves for delivering such an incredible raping.
Poor uncle toni was so pissed with monkey boy getting his ass handed to him here that he got his personal voodoo witch doctor to curse soderling to get mono. Now his been out of tennis for a couple of months just when he had his tournament of the year, destroying ferrer pretty easily in the bastaad final.
Rafa though,is still angry and grumpy about getting new assholes crafted in his butt by djokovic that he is still complaining about tax laws, court surfaces, schedule, balls, everything else.
Nadal said afterwards that he played very short, well I think he didn’t play that short, it’s part of his game, sometimes a little short. He just faced Soderling at the wrong place at the wrong time.
This is what happens when an in the zone Aggresive Baseliner meets a moonballer.
Soderling was in the zone here, hitting rockets and winners left and right.
@tarckbear Exactly. Plus, taken two or three times the allotted time between points and serves also isn’t good sportsmanship either. Nadal isn’t half the sport he’s made out to be.
@tarckbear He might have actually had a previous injury that worsened as he played (*hint*Left ankle*hint*) but if he had been a 110% opposed to Soderling’s sky-high 150%…he might not have won…but it would have been even better, no? And knowing full well the kind of pressure you’re under when your rival beats you on your own turf, and you’re expected to say WHY…he just took the easy (and unsportsmanlike, I admit) way out.

That same day, defending women’s champion Ana Ivanovic was beaten by Victoria Azarenka.

Soderling is still to date the only player to beat Nadal in French Open

Robin played the game of his life on clay and his reward was the privilege of getting schooled by Federer in the finals.
